Our first day in Zimbabwe and we made it on the National News

Yesterday was an eventful day.  We began with a driving tour of the city where we walked to the highest lookout point in the city. The views were beautiful and the students were excited to see the entire city from the lookout. We then walked through a local marketplace so that everyone could see the diversity of the city while learning how to bargain for goods.  This day just kept moving and our next stop was at the ministry of tourism for Zimbabwe to me with Hon. Eng. W. Mzembi who is the Minister of Tourism. The press was present for our meeting and our students and their amazing questions made it on the National News. Unfortunately, we missed watching our moments of fame as we were off to dinner at Mikel's, a five star restaurant, where we had a five course dinner with Zimbabwean government officials as well as government officials from the US Embassy. Talk about an amazing first day! The Internet is not cooperating with the upload of photos here but I am able to post photos to Facebook and will create a group and post them there for everyone who would like to see them!
