The Matopos and we are on the National News again!

Today is a day the students will remember for the rest of their lives! We had an early and cold start this morning so that we could go on our first safari of the trip. The hotel packed us breakfast so we could eat on our way to the game park. We were picked up in open air safari jeeps, all bundled up in our layers so we could make it through the many temperature changes of the day. Once arriving in the game park we almost immediately saw Impala, but were treking for Rhino.  We disembarked and walked a bit then climbed a massive rock formation to see if we could get a better view, then we shifted into two groups where we set out on foot safaris for a few hours. We moved a bit father via jeeps and then made our next climb to an area called "worlds view". By this time our bellies were rumbling so we had a safari lunch where the media met us and interviewed FIVE of our students about their experiences thus far, and the interviews will be a part of the national news airing this evening and in the morning!!! After lunch we went the view cave paintings that were left by the San people centuries ago, and then went for our final game drive of the day where we were up close with zebras, wildebeest, baboons, monkeys, rock rabbits, and a few more Impala. Talk about a BUSY day! Tomorrow morning we leave for our drive to Hwange where we do our real game drives of the trip! Sorry some of the pics duplicated themselves, it won't let me fix it from my phone.
